FAQ
Common Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often from collectors, restorers, and first-time inquirers.
Buying & Inquiring
The best way is to use the inquiry form on our Contact page. Describe the part you are seeking — marque, model year, part number if known, and any condition requirements — and we will respond within one business day. For urgent or complex searches, detailed correspondence is always welcome.
Our Gallery shows a curated selection of current and recent inventory, but it does not represent everything available. Much of what we hold is offered privately to established clients before appearing publicly. If you are searching for something specific, contact us directly — we may have it, or know where to find it.
Yes. We maintain relationships with collectors, estates, and specialists across Europe and North America. If we do not have a part in hand, we are often able to locate one through our network. Share the details of what you need and we will let you know honestly whether we can help.
We do not maintain a walk-in retail presence. All viewings are by appointment at our Santa Fe location. Serious inquirers are welcome to arrange a visit — please contact us in advance so we can prepare the relevant pieces for your review.
Provenance & Authenticity
Every item we acquire is examined against period documentation, factory records, and known reference examples. We consult marque registries, specialist literature, and — where warranted — independent experts. We will not offer an item whose provenance we cannot substantiate to our own satisfaction.
Documentation varies by item. Factory build records, period invoices, competition history, and ownership correspondence are preserved and transferred where they exist. For items without paper trails, we provide a written statement of our findings and the basis for our authentication.
Occasionally, and always with full disclosure. Any restoration or reconditioning work is described in detail — what was done, by whom, and when. We do not present restored items as unrestored originals. Our preference is for honest patina over cosmetic intervention.
Shipping & Handling
Yes. We have shipped to collectors in Europe, Japan, Australia, and across North America. Fragile and high-value items are packed by hand using archival materials and shipped with full insurance. We work with specialist art and antique shippers for particularly delicate or valuable pieces.
Each item is assessed individually. Enamel badges, glass components, and delicate trim pieces are wrapped in acid-free tissue, cushioned in custom-cut foam, and double-boxed. We do not use generic packing materials for irreplaceable parts. Photographs of the packed item are taken before dispatch.
The buyer is responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees applicable in their country. We are happy to advise on likely requirements for common destinations, but we cannot guarantee customs outcomes. All shipments are declared accurately — we do not undervalue items on customs forms.
Selling & Consignment
Yes, selectively. We are most interested in complete collections, estate holdings, and individual pieces of exceptional rarity or provenance. If you have something you believe may be of interest, describe it via our contact form and we will follow up. We treat all inquiries with discretion.
We do, for the right pieces. Consignment works well for owners who want a considered sale to the right buyer rather than a quick transaction. We handle all presentation, correspondence, and negotiation. Terms are agreed in writing before anything is accepted.
We offer written valuations for vintage automotive parts, memorabilia, and related collectibles. These are based on current market knowledge, comparable sales, and our assessment of the specific item. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will advise on the appropriate process.
